Tim Healy, owner of the Posie Peddler Florist in Saratoga, will demonstrate how to create your own grapevine wreaths in this hands-on workshop. There is a $20 material fee.

Alexander Scrivo, a NYS licensed Esthetician, Nail Specialist and International Diplomat in Beauty Therapy will show us how to use medicinal herbs to improve skin care.
July 9, 2025 "Final Preparation for the SGC 2025 Standard Flower Show"
Flower Show Chairs Liz Gee and Carol English will share all the details and information that club members need to create their displays and to prepare for the show.
August 13, 2025 "Casting Leaves in Concrete"
Location: Diane Swartout's home, 122 Mezera Rd.,, Schuylerville. SGC member Annette Newcomb and her friend Kathy Dorman from the Lake George Community Garden Club will demonstrate how to cast leaves in concrete to be used as birdfeeders and other decorative accents. There is a $5.00 material fee.
September 10, 2025 at 11:00 am Field Trip - Tour of Schenectady Central Park Rose Garden
Location: 180 PTL Arthur Chaires Ln., Schenectady. The program includes a group tour of the Schenectady County Cooperative Extension facility, greenhouses and rose gardens. Carpooling is recommended
October 8, 2025 "Garlic in the Garden"
Sue Kowaleski of Lake Hill Farm in Argyle will demonstrate how to plant garlic before winter and explain the different types of garlic. Garlic will be available for purchase.
November 12, 2025 Field Trip - The Chapman House
Location: 348 Glen St., Glens Falls. The program, "A Melon for Your Table: The Legacy of the Victorian Garden", will be a guided talk which explores the evolution of the Victorian garden and how it has influenced current gardening methods. Carpooling is recommended. Signup for December's Holiday Party.
December 10, 2025 at NOON Holiday Party and Gift Exchange
Location: Wishing Well Restaurant, 75 Saratoga Rd., Ganesvoort. This fun event will bring us all together for a memorable afternoon of good food, good company and games. Please bring a donation to support a cause chosen at our November meeting.
January 14, 2026 "Gardening Native: Incorporating Native Plants in Your Garden"
Kate Brittenham, an ecological landscape designer, will discuss the essentials of ecological garden design principles and practices incorporating native plants.
February 11, 2026 "Schuylerville Garden Club Through the Decades, Part Two- 1980-present"
SGC Vice President Evelyn Rybaltowski and SGC Former President Leona Brownell will use a Power Point presentation to document the history of the club from 1980 to the present time. This is a continuation of their last program which documented SGC's history from 1938-1979.
March 11, 2026 at NOON Annual Covered Dish Winter Picnic Luncheon & Video
Each member will bring a dish to share. Please bring your own place setting and beverage. As a bonus, there will be a video entitled "Lunch in the Garden".
